Update: The Hearth Patio and Barbecue Association members continue to fight for your right to a $500 tax credit when you, the consumer, removes an old polluting conventional wood stove for a new EPA certified wood, pellet, or corn stove. HPBA Members continue to send letters to their Congressional representative asking for passing of this act. However, to date the issue has not come to a vote.
